Why use an EGR valve additive?
The EGR valve contributes to significantly reducing harmful vehicle emissions. To remain effective and functional, it must be cared for regularly. To care for and clean your EGR valve, Metal 5 recommends the use of EGR valve cleaners or EGR valve additives. Metal 5 products prevent the formation of deposits and restore the air flow to the combustion chambers.
Additives and cleaners therefore prevent excess fuel consumption and the need to replace the EGR valve.
When should you use an EGR valve additive?
The EGR valve must be cared for regularly.
For urban driving or short trips we recommend the use of an EGR valve additive every 5,000 km or once a year.
For medium and long trips road on the open road/motorway, care every 10,000 km or once a year is sufficient.
