What is an engine oil additive?
Engine oil additive is a synthetic product used for corrective or preventive purposes. It helps engine oil effectively perform its lubrication and anti-corrosion actions.
Why use an engine oil additive?
Due to heat and as the kilometres go by, the rubber seals of the engine oil system dry out and gradually lose their effectiveness. Seepage occurs and clogs up the engine, causing oil leakage. By keeping engine oil clean longer and restoring the suppleness of seals, Metal 5 engine additives and lubricants prevent and stop most engine oil leaks.
When should you use an engine oil leak additive?
We recommend that you use an engine oil additive at every oil change, i.e. about every 20,000 km. For optimum performance, also replace the oil filter every time.
